Sylvester Zagato
Sylvester Zagato is an artist whose work explores areas of tension between control, abundance, structure and instability. In sculpture, painting and installation, he develops formal languages based on repetition, accumulation and variation.
His practice often draws on organic and bodily references, treating them as structures rather than representations. Forms grow, repeat and transform within limited frameworks, creating environments where order and abundance coexist.
Using materials such as resin, silicone, paint or living elements, his works investigate how internal states – be they relational, physical or mental in nature – can be translated into spatial and material systems. Each work functions as a self-contained configuration while contributing to a broader investigation into how structures regulate, limit or fail under pressure.
