“Amazons” takes as its starting point the myth of the Amazon warriors, who were said to have removed a breast to shoot a bow more effectively. The series consists of grids of industrially manufactured TPE breasts, affixed to painted linen and presented as collected fragments of this corporeal sacrifice. Through repetition and serial arrangement, the anatomical form is detached from its intimacy and rearranged into a structured field. It condenses how war shapes and reshapes bodies through its violence. The repeated fragment becomes an image of transformation, oscillating between the remnant of an individual body and a field of remnants.
