Laura Pientka (*1994 Delmenhorst) lives and works in Bremen. She explores shameful, often taboo body areas and their secretions – topics that are culturally and institutionally ignored. She works with ceramics, more precisely with clay made from composted waste, thus alluding to the body's cyclical processes. Delicate glazes meet physically charged forms. Her feminist practice is body-centered, rebellious, and deliberately plays with the aesthetic of the "unshowable."
