The work is a series of porcelain plates. They have a special glaze created by introducing menstrual blood from tampons during firing. The tampons are pieces that the artist herself used. By connecting two socially connoted cultural products that are associated with the female body in different ways: porcelain plates and tampons, the artist opens up a complex web of associations in which discrepant fields of themes and categories of definition related to the idea of femininity can be unfolded. The artist's work is characterized by playing with the openness of interpretation.
