Collection: Tulio of Frankfurt (ToFRA)

Tulio of Frankfurt (ToFRA), born in 1970, is an artist whose practice has evolved through years of technical exploration. Since the end of 2025, his work has entered a new phase, shifting toward a more intimate and conceptually driven engagement with the male form.
ToFRA approaches masculinity through a distinctly personal and contemporary lens. His works distill the body into fragments rendered in watercolor and ink, where vulnerability, desire, and constructed masculinity converge and unsettle one another.
Working from photographic references, the artist begins by tracing essential lines and forms. Layers of fluid color follow, before the final application of ink sharpens tension and presence. This process results in works that feel immediate, embodied, and charged with intimacy.
Each work opens a space of encounter, inviting the viewer into a lasting relationship with the image – both intimate and immediate.
