Photographer Stéphane Gizard, best known for his portraits of young people in the "Modern Lovers" series, uses his gentle and friendly gaze to capture the beauty and fragility of his subjects, many of whom include celebrities and strangers. His work reveals their sensuality and expresses a truth, an intimate interrogation. In parallel with his close collaboration with the press and the advertising industry, Stéphane spent ten years photographing a cross-section of 17- to 20-year-olds; in his view, this is the crucial phase of life at the end of adolescence and the beginning of adulthood: a time of self-reflection and fragility. Stéphane Gizard lives and works in Paris.
