Ralf Egon Strauss
Ralf Egon Strauss lives and works in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. The psychologist, art therapist, and freelance artist combines psychological understanding with experimental artistic practice in his work. His studio and gallery, straussART, produce works in painting, photography, graphic arts, digital art, and object art.
His work focuses on male identity, relationships, physicality, and homoerotic aesthetics. His pieces move between figurative and abstract imagery and are characterized by a continuous process of change and reinterpretation.
By combining painting, collage, photography, and digital techniques, complex works emerge in which emotion, color, and composition play a central role. Strauss understands art as an open, constantly evolving process – shaped by passion, courage, and the desire to discover new perspectives again and again.
