Michalis Goumas

Michalis Goumas (b. 1984) is a Greek painter and photographer based in Athens. He is internationally recognized for his underwater art photography and large-scale paintings, where he explores mythology, the human body, identity, and the interplay of light and water. Influenced by classical Greek sculpture and contemporary cinema, his work combines timeless aesthetics with a distinctly modern visual language. His works have been exhibited internationally and are held in private collections across Europe and beyond. In addition to his artistic practice, he publishes artist books and develops multidisciplinary projects that combine photography, painting, and film.
