Collection: Kai Teichert

Kai Teichert, born in Würzburg in 1965, studied sculpture at the State Academy of Fine Arts in Karlsruhe, followed by painting at the Städelschule State University of Fine Arts in Frankfurt am Main. Parallel to this, he studied human medicine at Goethe University. The human body, its mind, and its drives became central themes in his artistic work.

Since 1993, Kai Teichert has lived and worked as a freelance artist in Berlin. He held several teaching positions at the Berlin University of the Arts, the Berlin Art Institute, and the Freie Kunstakademie Frankfurt am Main, but preferred to dedicate himself to his numerous solo exhibitions, installations, and projects in Europe and the USA. His works are held in important museums (including the Staatsgalerie Stuttgart, the Leslie-Lohman Museum of Art New York City, the National Theatre Prague) and in many collections.
