This exceptional print is from the legendary TOF Tom of Finland portfolio edition , the first edition of which was curated by the artist himself in 1977 and published in a small, exclusive edition. The portfolio comprised 13 high-quality prints, each of which—like this example—was hand-signed ( note: this is not an original signature, but rather a signature incorporated into the print ).
The works each measure 23 x 30 cm and are in excellent original condition . They are delivered in an elegant frame with museum-grade UV 100 matte plexiglass and a passepartout (35 x 40 cm), including a certificate from Galerie Newman .
Of particular note: We also own the original folder in which Tom of Finland personally delivered these prints in 1977 – an important historical collectible for lovers of queer art and aesthetics.
These prints are not reproductions, but the authentic original prints from the official first edition – produced under the supervision of Tom of Finland himself.
Individual sale of the works is not planned.
The goal is to make the entire series of works available to a single interested party in order to preserve the collection. Taken as a whole, the works unfold a special artistic expression and collectible value.
We reserve the right to present the works in an exhibition in our gallery as part of the 50th anniversary of this edition of the collection.
