Tamara Berger is a feminist artist whose interdisciplinary practice includes painting, performance, and installation. Her artistic work centers on societal power structures, female identity, motherhood, body politics, and the visibility of female experiences. By connecting personal narratives with socio-political issues, she creates works that open up both intimate and collective perspectives.
Her artistic practice is strongly influenced by international experiences. Artist residencies have taken her to Thailand (La Fenice Gallery, Koh Phangan), Japan (Metropolitan Fukujusou and Art Spot Korin, Kyoto), Portugal (Hangar – Centro de Investigação Artística, Lisbon), as well as Argentina (Corazon Residency, La Plata), Spain (Maldita Estampa, Barcelona), and Finland (Fenix Hub, Meltola), where she integrated new cultural contexts and feminist discourses into her work.
Tamara Berger has presented her works in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Europe, Asia, and North and South America. Her recent solo exhibitions include "Every 3 Days" (DemotZ, Ludwigsburg, 2025), "Vox Femine" (Corazon, La Plata, Argentina, 2024), "Mothers are Superheroes" (Bijelo Polje, Montenegro, 2023), the exhibition at the Makowski Galerie Berlin (2023), and "Illuminations of Japan" (Art Spot Korin, Kyoto, 2022). Her works have also been shown in London, Chicago, Brighton, Zurich, Barcelona, New York, and Stuttgart, among other locations.
In her artistic practice, Tamara Berger understands art as a space for resistance, reflection, and social transformation. Her works oscillate between personal experience and political statement, questioning established narratives about gender, body, and social roles.
