Collection: Sergey Sovkov

Sergey was born in 1972 in Kyshtym, Russia. Even as a young boy, he was interested in painting—particularly the depiction of male figures. Therefore, he enrolled in art school. He attended this school in addition to his compulsory education. Unfortunately, he was unable to complete art school due to time constraints.

After graduating from high school, he studied art education at the University of Togliatti, which he graduated in 1997.

He later remained at the same university, working there first as an assistant, then as a lecturer, and finally as a professor—for a total of 17 years. Sergey's subjects were composition and painting.

The first exhibitions took place in 1995 and continue to range from national to international exhibitions. His paintings are now part of museums, the International Cultural Heritage Fund, and private collections in Russia, Germany, the Netherlands, Norway, the USA, Great Britain, and other countries.

Since 2014, Sergey has been working as a freelance artist, allowing him to fully express his creativity. A year later, he met his future husband, Erwin Sovkov, who lived in Vienna, where he moved in 2017. Together they run their art studio, "Blue Doves."
