Collection: Ruoj

Ruoj (Rozhan Mollanezhad) is a queer Iranian photographer and artist from a country where queerness is a crime. Photography came first: capturing a symptom she could not name; psychoanalysis gave her tools to read it. The work demanded new forms: analog, print, mixed media, painting, each chasing a feeling that the last could not hold. Her next project exchanges the camera for the body: performance, video, sound, a space where she can finally stand.
