Pedro Leobons
Pedro Leobons is a visual artist from Rio de Janeiro, living in São Paulo since 2017. His artistic research is dedicated to the plurality of queer bodies through hybrid works that combine illustration, painting, 3D modeling, video, and immersive experiences.
In 2021, he became an artist-in-residence at Xepa Gallery and debuted in the Metaverse with the exhibition Fome de Criar. Since then, he has participated in projects and exhibitions on platforms such as Biennale.io and Streetless B22, and also realized his first solo exhibition in the Metaverse, Bicho Gente Bicho (2023), which was also presented with a VR experience at the MIX Brasil Festival.
In the physical exhibition context, he has shown his work in institutions and spaces such as Co-Art (UERJ), Galeria 18, Quase Espaço, Paço das Artes, and Casa Cor SP, as well as at fairs and exhibitions like Expo Queer, Expo Arte SP, Festival Vórtice Cultural, and El Cabriton.
His works explore the fluidity of identity, the performativity of the queer body, and its constant metamorphoses.
