Collection: Marko Stojanović

Marko Stojanović is a visual artist whose practice spans a wide range of media, including installations, public interventions, food art, tapestries, and drawings. While his early projects explored various formats—from commemorative plaques to large-scale textile works—over the past decade, photography has gradually taken a central role in his oeuvre. His work explores the ways in which identity, power, and history intersect—particularly in the post-Yugoslav context. One of his ongoing series documents an annual religious swimming ritual in Serbia, in which the church, military, and far-right groups converge in a surreal winter spectacle. Through this and other projects, Marko explores systems of control, the shaping of national narratives, and the artificiality of our relationship with nature and cultural heritage.
