Collection: Manfred Kirschner

Manfred Kirschner, aka Lydia Karstadt, is a Berlin-based artist, curator, performer, and author. Kirschner loves playing with identities and narratives. A key focus of his oeuvre is his collages on canvas. In larger works, he combines them with paintings or develops narrative series with them, such as the Flur series. In collage-picture novels, he also adds prose to the collages and publishes them in books.

The story tells of the adventures of the gay Kreuzberg artist Harald Baumeister, his lover Kurt and his friends Rita, Ytong, Cake and Clemens.
