Kismet Workshop
Yusuf (*1997) is a textile artist and designer living in Istanbul. Influenced by his mother, an embroidery lecturer, he grew up surrounded by fabrics and threads, which shaped his early connection to textiles. His artistic practice deals with cultural diversity, sensory perception, and the contrasts – often irritating – between the male body and artistic harmony. He primarily works with punch, tufting, and trimming techniques to create rugs and textile works where elements of Tropicalism, Symbolism, and Orientalism merge into vibrant, multifaceted expressions.
