The appeal of athletic men has fascinated me since childhood, as has photography. In addition to visual aesthetics, the images are also intended to express character beauty in the sense of strength and loyalty.

The obvious aesthetics also symbolize my biographically based desire for beauty, security, and love. The path leads from the obvious to deep feelings, desires, and longings. The images are created accordingly, beginning with individually captured images of physical reality, which are then assembled to illuminate the invisible.

When it comes to photography, I am a great believer in Humboldt's thesis that “the subject is the source of its own education.” In line with the motto “education is not the filling of vessels, but the kindling of flames,” I gradually discovered photography for myself.
