Giuditta R.
Giuditta, born in 1984 in Messina, Italy, grew up in an artistic environment and began drawing at an early age. After receiving a diploma and master's degree with distinction from the Academy of Fine Arts in Catania (2008) and a study stay in Copenhagen, she quickly gained international recognition.
In 2013, she founded Villa R , an artist residency in Messina, and in 2016, she expanded her influence into the fashion world through a collaboration with a Tokyo-based designer. Her work has been shown in Europe, the Americas, and Asia, with solo exhibitions in Milan, Berlin, and Mexico City. Highlights include participation in a side event of the Venice Biennale (2022), her US debut in Arkansas (2023), and the Trinacria Circolare Prize (2024).
In 2025, she will present Villa R at the TransCultural Exchange Conference in Boston. Today, she lives and works in Berlin and is represented by galleries in Mexico City and Arkansas.
