Collection: Hi there

GHiii is the artist name of Austrian artist Gerald Huber. Born in 1969 and raised in Tyrol, he has been developing a unique, vibrant visual language since 1999 that sits between contemporary pop art, mixed media, and multidimensional perception. The name GHiii combines Gerald Huber's initials with the three “i”s in the word inspiration—a central guiding principle of his artistic practice.
Inspiration, energy, and a zest for life form the common thread of his work. GHiii does not view positivity as superficial cheerfulness, but rather as a conscious attitude: his art draws attention to the beautiful, the surprising, and the often overlooked, inviting the viewer to perceive the familiar from a new perspective. Color, dynamics, perspective, and a playful wink characterize his works, as does his exploration of contrasts, ambiguity, and different layers of vision.
A characteristic of GHiii is the combination of various artistic techniques. Painting and acrylics meet graphic design, photography, and digital processes. This combination results in multi-layered works in which the boundaries between classical original, graphic composition, and contemporary media art are consciously broken down.
GHiii developed a special artistic signature with his “look-twice” concept. In this, different worlds of images and motifs merge into a new whole. Depending on the focus, distance, and viewing angle, different motifs, moods, and meanings emerge. The work is not fully revealed at first glance—seeing itself becomes an active part of the artistic experience. In this way, for GHiii, “art for a message” has increasingly evolved into an art with a message.
Another recurring symbol in his work is the laughing orange GHiii fish. Inspired by the feeling of freedom and weightlessness when diving, this motif has accompanied the artist since the very beginning of his career. Within the positiviGHiii series of works, the fish has become an iconic ambassador for zest for life, lightness, and positive energy.
GHiii's artistic perspective is strongly shaped by international influences. He lived and worked in Dubai for several years; intensive connections to Asia complement his European roots. He describes Innsbruck, Dubai, and Kuala Lumpur as his personal “inspiration triangle.” His works and art projects have been featured in European, Arab, Asian, and American contexts and have found their way into galleries, hotels, companies, public spaces, and international architecture and brand worlds.
An extraordinary facet of his artistic position is the connection between art and structure. In addition to his artistic practice, Gerald Huber, as a graduate engineer with a doctorate in technical sciences, has many years of experience in architecture and project environments. This analytical and spatial competence is not in opposition to his creativity, but rather expands it: GHiii considers art both as an autonomous work and in dialogue with architecture, space, atmosphere, and the viewer.
Thus, his oeuvre moves between free gallery art and site-specific artistic installations. Despite the different series of works and forms of expression, one attitude remains constant: art should surprise, inspire, and pass on positive energy. Or, as GHiii puts it: “Inspire your life.”
