Franka Höhne, born in Brandenburg in 1968, is a self-taught artist. Her training as a construction worker (with a high school diploma) and as an art therapist has shaped her artistic work. In her diverse works, using materials such as concrete, gold leaf, acrylic, canvas, wood, fabric, and wool, she impressively processes personal feelings, fears, and hopes.
Education: Construction worker with high school diploma, retail saleswoman/finance, training as an art therapist in 2019 and start of professional work in the field of painting and sculpture.
Preferred styles: Neo-expressionism, Expressionism and Abstract Painting.
Themes: Peace and freedom, climate, mental health, near and far in the context of disabilities, new beginnings, exile, new start
Main areas of activity: Painting and participation in exhibitions, mostly regional. Course instructor for children and teenagers in painting, workshops for children, teenagers and adults, art therapy programs for teenagers in schools to explore the themes of love, loss, and new beginnings.
