Chris Marmier, an Amsterdam-based artist, creates narrative artworks with a distinctive brushstroke and unique color palette.


Coming from a bicultural family and having lived in various countries, his work is based on close observation and reinterpretation of the world around him. Human figures often take center stage in his compositions, as he explores themes such as identity, nature, culture, and politics. Each work invites the viewer to pause and reflect on its complex details and deeper meanings.


After studying visual communication, Chris began his career as an art director, always filling the margins of his notebooks with sketches. Since 2015, he has been exhibiting his detailed and colorful works in galleries. For his paintings, he primarily uses acrylic paint on wooden panels, while also incorporating digital techniques when creating his art prints.
