Collection: Alexander Ruppert

Alexander Ruppert (b. 1977) often dedicates himself to social-critical themes of our time. The artist primarily uses painting, collage, assemblage, and text design to do justice to the respective theme in the visual statement. Ruppert himself: "I use visual art as a medium of communication. As an independent entity that does not want to impose itself, but also does not back down." And so, for the artist, it is always and again about communication between him and the viewer. Not about the aesthetic surface, but the content of his work.

Ruppert studied media design in Munich, specializing in painting (fine arts) and graphic design. After graduating in 1999, he returned to his hometown and lives and works in Bad Kissingen.

Sculptor and gallery owner Anne-Marie Meyer-Weissflog (Königsberg) in a past laudatory speech about the artist:
"In his works, he dissects and disassembles life like a surgeon with fine, but also brutal cuts and caesuras. The artist Alexander Ruppert does not provoke. But art has the right and the duty to look more closely, and so Ruppert tackles themes that are 'themes'. Like celibacy or child abuse, without wanting to lecture."
