Collection: Achim Horras

His art tells stories of love, identity, and emotions—raw, honest, and full of color. Blending classical visual language, pop art aesthetics , and experimental painting, he explores interpersonal connections and harnesses the power of self-expression. He sees his work as part of a dialogue about values, questions, and themes that connect him and his audience. His art seeks to touch the viewer and guide them toward a more open worldview. His works celebrate transgressive bodies not as objects, but as carriers of narratives and longing, as repositories of desire and memory. Achim Horras (born 1980 in Schweinfurt) lives and works as a freelance artist in Bad Kissingen, Bavaria. He has been self-taught since 1996, experimenting with and furthering his education in many areas of painting , including at the Academy of Fine Arts in Kolbermoor with Siegfried Anzinger, Erwin Kastner, and Aleksander Kolenc. Whether on wood, canvas, large or small format, acrylic, lacquer or gold leaf, his language is just as versatile as the materials he uses.
